Parallel Funding

Important.pngAll information on this page is part of the GIF Guidelines, which are binding for all applicants and grantees.
For your convenience, you can download a full version of the GIF Guidelines in
                  PDF format here.

The Declaration regarding Parallel Funding form to be submitted by new GIF Grantees (see General Information) is integral part of the research Grant agreement.
GIF Grantees are required, by their contract with the GIF (paragraph 12 of the Research Grant Agreement), to report any applications to other funding sources concerning similar projects to the one already supported by the GIF. If such an application results in a Grant, the researcher(s) will be obliged to report to the GIF if s/he/they accept(s) it, with the understanding that the GIF Grant will be terminated, effective from the commencement date of the new Grant from the other funding source.
Should the Grantees fail to mention in their Grant application funds they have received ‑or are receiving – from other sources for the research project, GIF may stop funding of this Grant, and demand the reimbursement of money already paid out.
In case the Grantees receive DIP or EU funding for this or a similar (overlapping) project, GIF support will be stopped immediately.
