Job Offer: Germany Liaison at GIF
GIF – the German Israeli Foundation for Scientific Research and Development, is seeking a dynamic, highly motivated, and detail-oriented individual to join our team. The position is for Germany Liaison and Program Manager
The German – Israeli Foundation for Scientific Research and Development (GIF) was established in 1986 by agreement between the Ministers of Science of the Federal Republic of Germany and the State of Israel, to facilitate scientific cooperation between the two countries. Since then, we have funded nearly 2000 projects to a sum of nearly 300m Euro.
The position:
- Principal point of contact to German academic institutions and researchers
- Scientific meetings program co-manager, with the Director
- Core Foundation documentation maintenance
- Maintenance and content development for website and social media
- Annual Board of Governors meeting organization (including minute taking and action item follow up)
- Other tasks as assigned by the Director
Skill set requirements:
This position requires:
- mother-tongue German-language proficiency,
- fluency in English
- a proactive can-do attitude
- teamwork spirit
- ability to work independently
- attention to detail
- ability to complete tasks on schedule
- all with a high sense of diplomacy, and integrity.
The position requires occasional travel to Germany. The employee should be based in Israel.
